Part-time financial direction

The seniority of a finance director, at your company's pace

You don't need a full-time CFO, but you do need real financial steering at the right moments. That is exactly what we do: a few days a month, according to the client's needs, with an adjustable commitment.

Frequently asked questions

What leaders ask us most

What is a part-time CFO?

It's an experienced finance director who works in your company a few days a month, instead of being a full-time employee. You access the same level of expertise, sized to the real scale of your needs and budget.

How is it different from my accountant?

The accountant produces your accounts and secures your legal obligations: a compliance job, turned towards the past. The part-time CFO uses those accounts to steer: cash, financing, profitability, trade-offs. The two roles are complementary and we work hand in hand with your accountant.

From what company size is it relevant?

There's no absolute threshold. The trigger isn't size but complexity: as soon as your decisions involve amounts you can no longer weigh on intuition, a structured financial view pays off. We support start-ups as much as established groups.

How many days a month should I plan for?

Most of our engagements start between two and four days a month. A fundraising, a closing or a sale occasionally requires more. The volume is set together at scoping, then adjusted.

Can I adjust or stop along the way?

Yes. The volume scales up or down according to your real needs. That's the fundamental difference with a full-time hire, which commits you long-term.

How much does it cost?

A full-time CFO represents €150,000 to €200,000 a year in Belgium, charges included. Part-time, you only fund the useful days. Argafin is a certified provider for four Walloon business cheques: Creation 75%, Transmission 75%, Diagnosis 50% and Growth 50%. The Walloon Region therefore covers up to 75% of your consulting costs. Every engagement is priced to measure after the free QuickScan.
