"For households and individuals with modest incomes, it is difficult, if not impossible, to become homeowners of energy-efficient housing, which means they are limited to the rental market and/or subject to higher energy costs. That is why we have decided to offer a 30-year loan."
This option can be a solution for low-income clients (a couple with a net monthly income of 3,500 euros and an individual with a net monthly income of 2,200 euros) so that they can finance the acquisition of a sustainable and unique property or energy-saving renovations in their own and unique residence.
In 2022, at BNP Paribas Fortis, the average borrowed amount was 203,000 euros (+9% compared to 2021), with an average duration of 223 months (18.5 years) and an average monthly installment of 956 euros.
